I think I just popped 19 boners.
So basically, we wiped to Antaeus, but I tanked him for a solid ~6 minutes. Without help. On Dancer. With minimal merits. Despite its inherent lack of err...use in most cases, I am a huge proponent of Dancer. It is not a solid job by any stretch of the imagination - it is extremely niche. Perhaps moreso even than puppetmaster (who knew?). I love my Dancer with a burning fiery passion, not unlike a nasty STD (not that I love STDs, but rather, I hear that they often burn).
Prior to this run, my dancer was often lawled upon (not because of my gear, mind you. Dancer is the one job I've decided to not be parsimonious with). Perhaps this will change? One can only hope.
...The tells after the run about my amazing tanking job really didn't help my already disgustingly inflated ego, however.

A lot has changed since I last posted. I think even "a lot" may be an understatement.
Perhaps the first thing that you may notice is that my name is different. What? Who in the heck is this Amiryth chick? I tried to stay anonymous for a while, but Amiryth = Kazuki...the big secret is out.
The main reason I took this screencap, however, is to showcase the work I've done over the past...years since my last post. When I last posted, I only had Dark Knight to 75. Since then, I've gotten Warrior, Dancer, and Black Mage to 75. Keshisaru and I are currently leveling Ninja and Bard together. Bard is a barrel of fun, and I'm sitting at 52 (school work has kept me hellishly busy).
This brings me to a tangent - "Career X job." Not quite sure you follow me? Here, I'll help:

So, you're telling me that I leveled 4 jobs to 75, and I should be considerate of the lazy bastards that only have 1 job? Wut? I mean, if you have one job and it is decked out to the nines, fine...but I still have every right to lot the GD CAPE FACK!
Here is another braggy-boo picture. When I last posted, Assault barely existed. I really don't like Assault, but I've been dragged all the way up to First Lieutenant. We're about 10 Assaults away from Captain, which is pretty BA. Free warps? 4 tags without grabbing one beforehand? BADASS.
In my last post, I was working on Chains of Promathia. My static beat it pretty shortly thereafter. I'd like to note that we beat CoP before the weeny make-it-easier patch.
Boring update? Maybe. I just thought I'd let the loyal readers know where I was at (who am I kidding?). I may seem like kind of an asshole, and I am...but if anyone would like to harass me in game, feel free. Contrary to popular belief, I do like people...I just like to QQ as well.

I'd probably decide to post more often.
Much, and I mean much, has happened since my last few posts (the catboys one doesn't count even kind of).
For one...I hadn't hit 75 Dark Knight in the last post.
Yeah, I got 75 like 5 months ago...way for me to keep up, right? Not only did I hit 75 DRK, but I got 66 BLM earlier this evening. Not like anyone cares about tracking my progress, but I should most certainly care about gloating, yeah? I think so too. 
Now, you might be wondering to yourself : Why does that say "Keshisaru gains 228 experience points," and not that Kazuki gained them? Here's your answer: 
I didn't Fraps it. Way to go, me. You hit 75 after -THREE- years of playing, and you didn't have fraps running. Thank God Kesh did ^^; That's a friggin' moment in history, man! Three years of my life to a digital me, rather than attempting to make real me better!
75 leetness aside (but not really), a lot of other things have happened. At 75, a whole lot of doors open up for you. Not if you're a Dark Knight or a Dragoon, mind you...but there are still opportunities that you've never had before!
Like Besieged! Sure you can do it at any level...but good luck landing hits on crap pre 70. Stack on that ACC gear, and join the mercenary ranks, fellas!
Besieged is one thing, but something that is actually cool and/or important is Chains of Promathia. Or as we lovingly call it, complete and utter bullcrap. I had been done with the three n00b promyvions for a long time, and I figured the Zilart Missions were easy. So logically, CoP would be easy, right?

CoP isn't hard. It's hella hard. Yes, hella. And I don't care if you come on my journal saying, "OMG, I WENT 1/1 ON ALL OF COP, CAPS!" You're A. lying, and B. a moron for not being able to turn the Caps Lock off. This particular corpse shot is in Pso'Xja in front of that big mongoloid Diabolos' battlefield. Speaking of leetsauce people like Alistar, Cybersix, and Whitenight, I decided to join an HNMLS. Muttonhed made the decision easier for Keshisaru and myself by joining it first (Thanks Mutton!). Phoenix's finest - Legacy. The sweetest of the sweet. I don't care if you call me biased, because these guys are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet. If you know nothing of FFXI, you're probably asking yourself, "What in the heck is an HNMLS?" HNMLS is an acronym for 'High Notorious Monster Linkshell.' Sounds pretty enticing, no? A group of experienced members who go around trashing high leveled monsters and gods. Kirin? Hey, you might've killed me 4 times in the same fight, but you can still take a kick in the teeth. 
So...this picture isn't terribly hot for me. Heck, for all you know I could just be some passerby watching another HNMLS take down Kirin. I promise I belong to that one though...really! ; ; I'm just a ronery DD!
In order to get to Kirin though, you have to suffer some massive retardation in the beautiful Sky. It's got a real name, but I'm not going to try to spell it without assistance.
So being in an established HNMLS is a really cool feeling. Feels very accomplished. And oh...there it is. The real name is Ru'Aun Gardens. Go n00b! I never really thought that leetsauce gear was attainable for me, but my dream may not be so far off. I just have to work hard for points, and I may some day look like this: 
I love this gear with every part of my body. Including my pee-pee. (Had enough Robert Hamburger? Stfu. You never can.)
At any rate, that's what has been going on in the wonderful world of Final Fantasy XI. I'm having fun for now, but it'll probably be short-lived as school starts back up on Monday. What a bummer! I'll leave you with this :

So I decided to stay up ridiculously late one night. At about 7:00 AM PST, I get a tell from good friend and twin, Hidden. She asks me if I'd like to do some avatar runs, and I am pretty much always up for that. So basically, I said yeah. Hidden agreed to let me leech off of her Shiva, Ifrit, and Leviathan fights, and I must say it was quite fun ^^ Also got to meet Myrill~ a friend of Hidden's, and awesome mithra SMN :D

So aside from the fun avatar fights, Keshisaru and I have also gotten Zilart Missions complete all the way up to Sky. We officially feel sort of cool now. Or at least cool enough to camp some Sky Gods...That's pretty cool. So what is this journal?
This is a journal filled with my rantings, my emotions, my insanity, and most importantly, my adventures. I'm rabidly obsessed with Final Fantasy XI, and as such I decided to devote a journal solely to my progress in the game.
What inspired you?
It's not what, as much as who. I highly encourage any fan of Final Fantasy XI to visit Whimsoroit's LJ. Both Whim's journal, and his intriguing stories of "soroing" it definitely made me want to share my in-game progress with any fans (or non-fans alike...whatev).
Who are you?
I'd venture a guess that I'm not particularly well known on my server. My character name is Kazuki, currently a level 70 Dark Knight on the Phoenix server. If you do know me, however, you'd know that I was a relatively spontaneous person who is often found adventuring with fellow mithra (and the love of my life), Keshisaru. Some people probably dislike us. Kesh and I have a pretty strong sense of justice, and we'll go out of our way to ruin RMT...that's another story, however. We're fond of duoing. It's what we do. Invade our camp, and you'll regret it.
Who are you, really?
Really, I'm Melissa. A nineteen-year-old college student, who plans to someday become and english teacher. Cool? Not really. Why do you care about who I am anyway?
What can I expect from your craptacular journal?
Not a whole heck of a lot. When something sweet happens to me or Keshisaru in-game expect to see it here. This is by no means a roleplaying journal, so don't expect to hear about me using my feminine wiles to win over the hearts of many a hume. Not-uh. I'm not a flirt, because I found the manthra I want. At any rate, expect to hear stories about my latest adventures. I would've hosted my Maat fight, however, I decided to be a complete moron and not vid it. Go me. Expect cynicism. Expect me to complain about how much getting BLU spells suck. Definitely expect me to complain about RMT, because I want gil. To all of you that do decide to read this journal though, I'm very appreciative. Thanks for giving my inane rantings a chance. Hopefully they'll be enjoyable at least some of the time.
